v8i Activate Reference

Microstation v8i now includes a new feature that allows you to modify a reference file without having to open it! Using the reference manager right click on the reference file you want to modify and select Activate.
A black dot in the reference manager indicates that the reference file has been activated. once you have finished making your changes right click on the reference file again and select deactivate. This saves you time by not having to exchange into reference files.
